Mini Excavator (NOC 75119) Location: Edmonton AB Rate of Pay: $22.00 per hour Type : Full Time Permanent Mandatory Requirement: Fluent in both English and French RECRUITMENT STREAM: FRENCH MOBILITY- APPLICANTS SHOULD TAKE THE FRENCH LANGUAGE TEST (TEF OR TCF WITH A CLB 5) Skills/Qualifications - Mechanical Skills with Mini Excavator Experience: Proficiency in assisting with mechanical repairs and maintenance tasks, including experience with mini excavators such as troubleshooting hydraulic systems, performing routine inspections, and assisting with component replacements under supervision. - Welding Knowledge: Ability to perform basic welding tasks such as spot welding and minor repairs, ensuring safety and precision in welding operations. - Troubleshooting Abilities: Capability to assist in diagnosing mechanical issues and identifying solutions effectively. - Tool Proficiency: Familiarity with and ability to safely use a variety of hand and power tools commonly used in mechanical repair and maintenance work. - Team Collaboration: Willingness to work as part of a team, following instructions from mechanics and contributing to a productive and efficient work environment. - Ability to stand/lift 60lbs/carrying/bending/twisting for periods at a time/repeatedly. - Effective communication skills in English (both written & verbal) are required. Job Duties and responsibilities: - Assist in repairing, maintaining and installing heavy duty machinery and equipment. - Move tools, equipment and other materials to and from work areas. - Assist in mechanical, electrical and body repairs of machinery and equipment. - Perform other labouring and elemental tasks as required. 7-Metal Workers A company based in BC; Canada is looking for full time hard, strong workers to become a big asset to their rebar fabrication yard. Rebar, short for ?reinforcement bar? is a metal bar that is used in the construction industry. Tasks will consist of: 1- lifting and cutting the metal bars with specific tools like gas powered chop saws and hydraulic shears. 2- Shaping the metal bars using multiple types of electric benders 3- Helping to unload semi-truck loads of rebar 4- Position and secure the metal bars to reinforce concrete Proficiency in rigging practices and experience in handling heavy equipment machinery, such as forklifts, is an asset. Experience required: At least 2 years of experience working in a heavy metal construction industry Other skills: Physical stamina for lifting heavy loads Training will be provided for those who do not have the required experience working in this type of environment.
