1-Protective Operations Supervisor
Salary: TND TD49,998
-Duties :
The employee serves as the bodyguard supervisor and LES Agent-in-Charge (AIC) of the Chief of Mission's protective security detail. The supervisor is responsible for managing day to day embassy protective operations and direct supervision of 9 bodyguards and 18 host nation police officers. The supervisor will also liaise with the Ministry of Interior's (MOI) Protective Operations Division (PHP).

-MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES % OF TIME

1) EMBASSY PROTECTIVE DETAILS 30%

Serves as the supervisory bodyguard in charge of the Ambassador Protective Detail (APD), DCM Protective Detail (DPD) and the Libyan External Office (LEO) Ambassador Protective Detail (LEO ADP). Serves as LES agent-in-charge (AIC) of the protective detail of the Chief of Mission (COM). Insures implementation of instructions and plans received from ARSO (Protective Operations).

2) PROTECTIVE SECURITY PLANNING: 20%

Incumbent insures that Bodyguards are conducting effective route analyses before selecting routes and venues. When needed, employee is required to coordinate fake motorcades in different times before, during or after the shift. Additionally, employee develops and utilizes protective intelligence critical to the safety of the COM and other embassy VIPs. Employee deals directly with Senior Government Officials and security officials in matters affecting the well-being of the COM, official Americans, local mission employees, and the American business community. Employee also serves as an advisor to the Regional Security Office in security matters pertaining to visiting dignitaries and high profile Embassy sponsored functions. Insures adequate coverage and appropriate resource allocation.

3) SUPERVISION / MANAGEMENT: 30%

- First line supervisor for time and attendance.


- Schedules, assigns, and dispatches Bodyguards.


- First line supervisor for performance evaluation and issue resolution.


- Conducts timely employee evaluations and counselling for all BGs.


- Insures accountability and manages inventory to include protective vehicles, weapons and training.


- Schedules and maintains bodyguard training schedule, and supervises on the job training.


- Disburses biweekly stipends for detailed host nation police officers (14 officers).


- Insures adequate training is being scheduled for all BGs and host nation police detailed to protect embassy VIPs.

3) LIAISON / OTHER: 20%
- Liaise with host nation police and security agencies to insure adequate protective support is being provided.


- Manages and maintains professional relationships with host nation protective operations division and other governmental agencies to include airport, customs, and etcetera.


- Attend meetings representing the RSO section within the embassy or outside.


- Sub-cashier certification and ability to disburse cash.


- Assist senior FSNI conducting security investigations.


Assist senior FSNI developing and maintaining contacts within the Ministry of Interior and other embassy contacts

Qualifications and Evaluations
Requirements:
EXPERIENCE: Five years of law enforcement, military, or security experience to include a leading or supervisory role is required, including VIP protection.


JOB KNOWLEDGE: Detailed knowledge of organizational structure and areas of jurisdiction for all Tunisian national police and security agencies.

Education Requirements:
At least two years of university studies.

Evaluations:
LANGUAGE: Level 3/3 English, Arabic and French are required.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Able to write clear, complete, and concise plans in English and French. Must have a valid Tunisian driving license, and possess the ability to maintain proficiency with firearms.
